Here’s a throwback BTS from an episode of How’d They Shoot That from last year. We wanted to create a Blade Runner style shot, using the robot as a model-mover. We filmed various VFX plates, keyed out the green, rotoscoped, and then added lights on the car using motion tracking to get the final shot. Using the robot as a model mover is just another way motion control can be used on set. And it makes it sooo much faster and easier with a SISU Motion Control robot, because of how fast and intuitive they are to use. Have you ever used a MoCo robot as a model mover??
