Bringing Together the Online Safety Landscape for a Safer Future
关于我们
The SHIELD Global Online Safety Conference is an event dedicated to bringing diverse groups together to increase collaboration to help bring about positive chance in the online world. We will cover the following topic areas: - Online Safety - Data & Privacy - Digital Wellbeing In today's rapidly evolving digital landscape, the safety and privacy of online users, especially children and youth, are increasingly at risk. The proliferation of AI technologies and other unregulated innovations is outpacing our ability to implement effective safeguards, leaving users vulnerable to new and unforeseen threats. The challenges are immense and growing. With AI and other technologies advancing at breakneck speed, isolated efforts are no longer enough. The lack of coordinated action and shared resources means that many organizations struggle to keep up, resulting in fragmented and insufficient protection. This gap leaves users, particularly the younger generation, exposed to significant risks. The SHIELD Global Online Safety Conference aims to bridge these gaps by bringing together a diverse group of stakeholders from around the world. By fostering collaboration and amplifying each other's work, we can create a unified front to tackle online safety and privacy issues more effectively. This summit will not only educate and inspire but also empower participants to drive meaningful change in their communities. Together, we can ensure a safer digital future for all. This conference will feature a mix of keynote speeches, group panels, Q&A sessions, interactive breakouts, and elements of an unconference. providing a comprehensive platform for learning and collaboration. We just had a networking and feedback meeting with a number of the speakers from the last conference. There was so much positive energy and so many great ideas for how to move our initiative forward. Because we want to be more than just a yearly conference. We want to collaborate to lift up existing efforts to achieve more together. As Andrew Briercliffe put it so well in his speech, "The Intersection of Online Safety, Online Harms, and Trust and Safety" it was a wonderful event full of people who are close to the harms and ready to work together going forward. Watch his full speech here: https://lnkd.in/dPccEVCv #strongertogether #onlinesafety #globalperspective #
