Last week, Nick Leone and Stephanie Romano Shaw, CCIM attended the CCIM CT Chapter Mid-Year Commercial Real Estate Symposium held at the University of New Haven, where industry leaders discussed the future of commercial real estate markets in 2024. We are proud to announce that Nick was awarded the Stan Gniazdowski/Carl Russell Named Education Scholarship from the CCIM CT Chapter. This prestigious scholarship is awarded to commercial real estate professionals pursuing the CCIM designation who demonstrate a strong commitment to the industry and exemplify the high standards of the CCIM Institute. We had a fantastic time at the CT Commercial Real Estate Conference yesterday at the Delamar Hotels in West Hartford, CT hosting by Greater Hartford Association of REALTORS?. It was a really great event with loads of informative discussion and networking opportunities. The event included an Economic Development Panel where we heard discussions from local mayors including Danielle Wong (Bloomfield), Jeffrey Caggiano (Bristol), Connor Martin (East Hartford), Jay Moran (Manchester) and was moderated by Greg Bordonaro, Editor of the Hartford Business Journal. The Commercial Financing Overview portion of the event had us hearing from expert perspectives from Vincent Bergin (CHFA), Andreas Kapetanopoulos (NBT Bank), and Michael Riccio (CBRE) and was moderated by Dave Wharmby, CFA (UConn CREUES). We heard specifically about industry updates with some engaging discussions on various sectors, including a standout session on industrial real estate by our own Mark Duclos, SIOR, CRE, alongside Jeremy Grossman (Grossman Real Estate), Christopher Reilly (Lexington Partners LLC), and Chris Chiappa (Waterford Hotel Group) and was moderated by Katherine Pancak (UConn CREUES). We also heard valuable insights from NAR Chief Economist, Lawrence Yun on national and local economic trends. We are especially proud to have had our team members, Larry Levere, SIOR and Zachary Pasquin in attendance.
