SEG Advanced Modeling Corporation (SEAM) is a not-for-profit research entity that hosts collaborative projects between sponsoring stakeholders to further geophysical research by industry and academia. These cooperatives address specific world-class challenges in subsurface description and management. (SEAM) is a subsidiary of the international not-for-profit Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG). SEAM strives to advance geophysical science and technology through the construction of subsurface models and generation of synthetic data sets. SEAM operates projects that require world-class computational simulations for research and benchmarking. SEAM is governed by a Board of Directors who along with the Director of Operations are responsible for fiscal and operational accountability. Each project is executed with an experienced project manager and a management committee of industry and research scientists from operators and service companies who devote intellectual resources and funding. The project co-operative avails itself of the most relevant international academic resources and best-in-class third party suppliers.
