关于我们

Scattered Denial is a six-part documentary film exploring the occupational hazards that cardiovascular interventionalists and their teams face from prolonged radiation exposure in cardiac catheterization laboratories. While some cardiologists have begun sounding the alarm about these risks, the problem is still widely underappreciated in the medical community. It’s virtually unheard of among patients and laypeople. Few people recognize that the cardiologists who are working to stem the tide of the world’s leading cause of death put themselves at immense risk to do so, often compromising their physical quality of life and risking death. The film aims to raise awareness of the principal risks encountered by these medical professionals—namely cancer and orthopedic issues caused by the need to wear heavy protective equipment in the lab—as well as the innovative technologies that will save the next generation of medical professionals from the pain and loss endured by their predecessors. The film can be viewed in its entirety on our website and YouTube, and will be airing on PBS stations across America in the summer and fall of 2024.
