Meet Catherine Debrunner?– a dedicated primary school teacher, passionate wheelchair racer, and Paralympic athlete. Over the last few years, Catherine has been pushing boundaries in the world of wheelchair racing, achieving incredible milestones along the way, from winning the Berlin Marathon in 2022 to setting world records at the 2023 Berlin and New York City Marathons. Her recent triumphs include five golds and a silver at the 2024 Paris Paralympics, including a gold in the T54 Marathon, which she dominated from start to finish! ???? The Salto 15K Classic - A celebration of strength and unity in San Sebastian ??? This past Sunday, San Sebastian witnessed the incredible 27th edition of the Salto 15K, a flat, fast-paced circuit through the city's most iconic spots - a perfect warm-up to the famous Behobia-San Sebastian race. From runners to rollers, to athletes overcoming mobility challenges, every participant brought their energy and determination to the streets, creating a memorable event that goes beyond competition. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who signed up, showed up, and gave it their all. Your strength and spirit brought our city to life, transforming the streets into a celebration of courage, unity, and shared passion. And to the organizations and volunteers who made this possible, thank you for your dedication and hard work! To every athlete out there: thank you for inspiring us.
