Sometimes setbacks at work deplete us, and other times they fire us up. Is there any rhyme or reason to this? In today’s behavioral science workshop, Jon M. Jachimowicz (Harvard Business School) argued that people who see their job as a “calling” are more likely to bounce back with passion after a setback. But they also experience the pain from setbacks more acutely.
