Meet Mallory Crumb our amazing Richardson Chamber Women in Leadership staff liaison - thanks to Mallory we’re able to keep our programs running smoothly and with momentum! Thank you Mallory for all you do for WIL and for the chamber!
We're so excited to share a bit more about the friendly faces that greet guests at our office, events and meetings! For this STAFF SPOTLIGHT, we're featuring Mallory Crumb. How long have you been with the chamber and what is your job? This is my seventh year at the Chamber. I have worn a lot of hats, but now I am the Director of Engagement and Business Relations and work with the Business Advancement, Local Business Engagement and Workforce Development committees. I also help produce the Annual Meeting and EDGE (Economic Development, Growth and Entrepreneurship) Awards events. What's your favorite thing about working at the Chamber? I enjoy meeting and getting to know the awesome people in this community! I have made some great friends and connections during my time here. Tell us about your family. My husband Jake and I have two girls Charley (almost 7) and Caitlyn (4) and a 9-year-old terrier mix named Mia aka Mia Wallace Crumb aka Mia Tortilla. What is a fun fact no one else knows? I play guitar, mostly self-taught. Where could we find you when you're not at work? If I am not running kids to dance or a birthday party, I am usually at home trying to relax and watch Dateline. Thank you, Mallory, for all you do to support and grow the chamber!

This #WhatAWomanWednesday we’re featuring our very own Beril Dogan Berk, Esq.??She is an inspiring Women In Leadership committee member, dedicated advocate, community leader, and mother. Her efforts enrich the Richardson community, fostering connection and inclusion. ?? Beril is originally from Istanbul, Turkey????, where she worked as a corporate attorney for 16 years with major international companies and lectured for the Istanbul Bar Association for six years. Prior to making Dallas Ft. Worth her home in 2021, Beril first lived in Henderson, Nevada when she moved to the U.S. in 2016. Currently, Beril is an immigration attorney and is involved with several local nonprofit organizations at various levels, including The Dialogue Institute which was most recently honored as the Nonprofit of the Year by the Richardson Chamber of Commerce. Beril leads the Serve Together Committee which brings to life Dialogue’s mission to promote understanding, respect, and cooperation among people of diverse groups by creating opportunities for direct communication and meaningful shared experiences. Additionally, she sits on the board for another Richardson-based nonprofit, Network of Community Ministries and is a graduate of Leadership Richardson Class XXXVIII. Beril’s favorite Richardson restaurant is The Chocolate Angel! And she enjoys the Richardson Chamber Women in Leadership luncheons for the networking and knowledge sharing opportunities. Beril loves the diversity in Richardson and the big city/small town feel. Something you may not know about Beril is that she has a doll collection with traditional clothing from all around the world. Advice to younger self: Invest time in learning handicrafts and learning a musical instrument. Beril wishes she had learned an instrument when she was young! Favorite quote: "Your acts of kindness are iridescent wings of divine love, which linger and continue to uplift others long after your sharing." (Rumi) Advice for younger generation: In this world, everything is entrusted to future generations so listen to each other generously and resolve conflicts before they turn into crisis. #WomenInLeadership #CommunityChampion #LeadershipRichardson #ShapingYourProfessionalLegacy #CommunityLeader #WomanCrushWednesday

We had a wonderful and inspiring presentation last week from Sandy Díaz Haley with SDH Communications and The Bada$$ Collective! The 100+ attendees were encouraged to appoint their own "personal board of directors" - those friends and mentors you go to for the big and transformational moments in your life. Many thanks to Sandy for speaking to the Richardson Chamber of Commerce community! And thank you to the sponsors that make these presentations possible: Methodist Richardson Medical Center, Texas Bank and Trust, Hilton Richardson Dallas.
