However, what is NOT a joke: ?? HubSpot is an enterprise-level CRM ?? There is a #hubolution happening (fundamental shift in ideology that SalesForce is the ONLY way to go upmarket, which is no longer true). ?     Everything sounds smarter and more important with a carousel. ?? Thus, here is my (long overdue) submission: RevOps Carousel ?? Don't let the carnival music fool you -- these are 8 #revops truths: 1. Adoption > process > tool. ?? - Doesn't matter how nifty a tool or process is IF it isn't getting used. Prioritize adoption and results/data will follow. - Action: start tracking adoption rates of tools. 2. You should run a weekly sales pipeline call IN YOUR CRM. ?? - We use HubSpot -- this creates patterns, consistency, and allows for overcommunication / visibility. I recommend Tuesday. - Action: schedule recurring call with sales team. 3. Manage your sales from a Dashboard in your CRM. ?? - The key question is "are we going to hit our revenue targets", and this allows you to answer that question (and others) and provides accountability. - Action: use ONE dashboard to run your next sales call -- if it doesn't exist, build it. 4. Decrease the number of databases you use. ? - This also decreases need for admin and equates to less integration management. - Action: Get a CRM. (Call Daniel Huang -- he can help). 5. Draw. Your. Processes. ?????? - Can't follow a process you can't VISUALIZE and understand. I recommend Miro or Lucidchart. This decreases ramp time, provides documentation for training, and helps identify bottlenecks. - Action: Start first with drawing your Sales Stages / Pipeline process. 6. Measure your marketing by revenue. ?? - Helps to ensure data integrity by putting more eyes on it. Also, provides a common goal for sales/marketing and puts the focus more on the customer (as opposed to MQLs, for example). - Action: Add marketing to your weekly sales call and add deal source to lists (for weekly sales meeting). 7. Eliminate Excel / Google sheets. ?? (or reduce, at least) - Even a good CRM can be crippled by a rogue Excel sheet that has superior data accuracy. Not doing this will lead to visibility and data integrity issues. - Action: Enforce adoption -- if you see something, ask "why is this not in the CRM?" 8. Hire a dedicated RevOps resource. ?? - These are superadmin (person) or ROaaS orgs (company); they help own the CRM, iterate processes, create actionable data by process enforcement, and are just generally unsung superheroes. I recommend RevPartners ?? - Action: Watch webinar in the comments (on hiring a revops jedi). **Shoutouts to Matt Bolian who I stole all of this from, Jade Bonacolta and Ben Meer who don't know me at all but have inspired me with their actionable "The Quiet Rich" and "System Sunday" content, and to Nelson Manzur for putting me and Gilbert on a virtual carousel. ??

    The Mayor of INBOUND presents -- Real (Ad)min of Genius ????♂? Today, we salute the Ryans of RevOps. (Yes, it's a two-fer) ?? Apparently, Ryan is Old Irish for "little king" -- which is appropriate because, while these gentlemen aren't small, they ARE kings of #revops. ?? It's a running joke that people mix them up. Understandable -- both possess extreme revops APTITUDE, are HubSpot super admin, and are fluent in WORQFLOW(s). ?? If you're still confused, here's a recommendation: go follow both and see all the wonderful ways they're similar and different for yourself. So take a spin on the Flywheel of Life tonight, Ryan Gunn and Ryan Quinn, because being a Ryan of RevOps is hard -- but not as hard as being Caleb King. ??
