The annual award is given to a distinguished alumna who promotes gender equality, gives back to the community, demonstrates leadership, and raises awareness about issues affecting women. Alongside this, she also serves as the global chair of the Women’s Initiative Network of Reed Smith, which promotes and fosters the retention, advancement and recruitment of women lawyers at the firm. This week, we're spotlighting Simone Goligorsky. When asked how diversity enhances her practice, Simone responded, "I find it to be a conversation starter: I'm often asked 'where is your surname from', and that immediately leads to a dialogue about my parents/extended family history. This has, on occasion lead to clients opening up about their own histories. WINRS Chicago is thrilled to have hosted their first Women in Dealmaking event! ??? While the pictures might be low quality, the people and conversations were anything but!
