recover ARKANSAS

Yesterday we brought together representatives from all 98 of our projects to meet each other and build connections. We set aside time for partners to introduce themselves, exchange ideas and contact information, and build a network of support. There were tears, stories of recovery, stories of loss, and new partnerships formed. Opioid settlement dollars are intended to undo the impact of opioid misuse in our communities. The task is large, and we are so grateful for the Arkansans who stand up and answer the call every day. Partnership makes us stronger. Natural State Recovery Centers' open house and mural dedication was a great way to finish off the week! Their new outpatient treatment and recovery center in Downtown Little Rock is officially opened, and it is beautiful! Settlement funds were used to put a down payment on the facility, convert the building into the outpatient center, and add needed furniture and supplies. It is always an honor to see settlement funds at work, and we are thankful for the Arkansans at work to make this project possible!

For ARORP Project 23-022, Natural State Recovery Centers purchased a building in Downtown Little Rock to renovate for an outpatient center. Their doors are officially opened! Earlier this year at the Arkansas Municipal League's 89th Annual Convention, CADCA previewed strategies for city and county officials to help abate the opioid epidemic in Arkansas.
