While writing your thesis, don’t assume that visuals speak for themselves. You should introduce them just as you would a long quotation, and give each one a title. You may also need to add labels that identify crucial information. The information that’s crucial depends on your paper topic and argument. It’s your job to guide the reader to the significant points in any map, picture, chart, or graph. A picture may be worth a thousand words, but it will be worth more if you use another ten words to introduce it. #visuals #introduce #title #information #thesis
