Making effective advocacy easier and more accessible was our main objective when we launched Rally Starter. The ability to organize groups of supporters to voice their collective support or opposition on important social issues is a POWERFUL tool. In fact, it's one of the only checks and balances that people have to hold politicians, corporations, local government, school boards, and other groups accountable. More effective advocacy equals more voices heard, and therefore more representation in influencing public policies, laws, consumer rights, social norms, and so much more, which we think it pretty important. Over the last couple of years with Rally Starter, we have learned that there are a ton of caring people and community organizers in addition to nonprofits that want to create more effective advocacy campaigns. We also learned that many more want to get involved but don't have the time or the expertise to write compelling content, which will derail a campaign before it starts. With the emergence of generative AI, we leaned in early and integrated AI prompts to auto-generate first drafts throughout our campaign creation flow. These features launched around 9 months ago and have experienced really high adoption, with ~ 80% of our users taking advantage of our AI to build their campaign on Rally Starter. We’ve been blown away with how incredibly well the technology works but we also realized that it was a big missed opportunity to have all of this amazing AI buried pretty deep into a signup process.
