Creo 11 enhances the "Enclosure Volume" feature to allow you to calculate an orientation-optimized, minimal Bounding Box that parametrically updates. You can easily control objects to include and exclude with the collector. Enclosure Volume now gives the ability to update the box volume during regeneration upon geometric modifications. In Creo 11, you can use lattice export options (STL and 3MF) in part mode. You can export a single object that smoothly merges and blends with shell for formula-based lattices. You can also add a Penetration into Shell value for beam-based lattices. This provides you additional flexibility as you prepare parts for additive manufacturing. In Creo 11, you now have additional flexibility for the definition of an “Offset Curve” feature that now supports edge, edge chain, and intent chain references in addition to curve and intent datum curves. You no longer have to first create a curve from the edge chain references. This enhancement increases your productivity by reducing the number of steps required to achieve this workflow. In Creo 11, you can now set a "Target pore size" as a metric that drives stochastic lattice construction definition. A pore is the maximum diameter of a spherical particle that can be squeezed inside the cell. This offers you more flexibility for creating stochastic lattices specific to target porosity, and provides a more straightforward workflow for industries such as medical implants.
