The Residential College (RC) is hiring a Community Outreach Coordinator for two community engagement programs: the Prison Creative Arts Project (PCAP) and the CEAL-Ride transportation program. You will lead community outreach strategy at PCAP and ensure that students can reach their community engagement sites using CEAL-Ride university vehicles. Though both programs run simultaneously, they have different peak activity times during the year. You will work with professional staff at PCAP and with faculty and staff throughout LSA. You will manage student staff members and will report to the RC Community Programs Business Administrator. Following an enormously successful opening night, we have a jam packed weekend of events! Tomorrow will be the Art of Relational Advocacy Collaborative Conference. Join us Saturday for a Public Tour and an opportunity to write to the artists inside. On Sunday, we'll start off with an Artists' Talk featuring artists from previous exhibitions talking about the experience of creating art inside. Later, we'll launch the Michigan Review of Prisoner Creative Writing, Vol 16: I Read the Dictionary for Fun.

The 28th Annual Exhibition of Artists in Michigan Prisons opens TOMORROW! The gallery will open and sales will begin at 5pm. Be sure to line up early if you'd like to make a purchase - every piece is handmade and one of a kind, and some items will go fast!
