To help remind and inspire?PPG employees to recycle their cans, ECS second graders created some fun artwork to place on top of the recycling bins stationed around the Pittsburgh offices. As of January 2025, the EU began the transition away from the use of BPA and some other hazardous bisphenols in food contact materials. This ban gives the majority of single-use food and beverage contact packages being sold in the EU eighteen to thirty-six months to find and implement non-BPA coating alternatives. As the pioneers in the development and commercialization of non-BPA coatings for metal packaging, PPG’s Packaging Coatings business has been working closely with our customers to help them make the switch long before these regulations were voted on. In 2024, our team converted more than 40 plant lines globally and prior to that, we helped customers with PFAS-NI conversions.
