Last week,?Erin A. Jones,?Heather Shubirg, MEDP,?Jessica Gilbert, and?Mason Henson?had the pleasure of touring the?Max Planck Florida Institute for Neuroscience, graciously hosted by?Paul Evans?and his team. Exploring this collaborative research park provided valuable insights into the growing life science clusters in #Florida.
The team toured several cutting-edge facilities on the Max Planck Campus, including the MPFI labs, Mechanical Workshop, Electron Microscopy Laboratory, Light Microscopy Core Facility, and the?ZEISS Microscopy?Solutions Center.
In addition, the team visited? The Herbert Wertheim UF Scripps Institute for Biomedical Innovation & Technology, where they had the opportunity to speak with scientists conducting groundbreaking research on glioblastomas. This specific study is funded by the?OCALA ROYAL DAMES FOR CANCER RESEARCH INC., highlighting the critical role of local organizations in advancing scientific progress.
The level of collaboration across the state is remarkable, and as these partnerships continue to flourish, exciting opportunities are emerging for the?#OcalaMetro?and?#LakeCounty?regions.
The team also made a stop at Florida Power & Light, where they explored the hub and got a glimpse of their innovative space,?35 Mules?Innovation Space, which fosters creativity and progress.
?
Lastly, the seamless travel experience provided by?Brightline Trains?made this productive trip even more enjoyable.
