We're less than a week away from our November Summit out at the Plug and Play Headquarters in Sunnyvale! This Agtech Expo is going to look just a bit different, though. With our new nine-month program ending in June, our batch startups won't be pitching until the summer Summit. So for the November Summit, we'll be featuring four of our alumni/portfolio companies: CHONEX, Continuum Ag, TrueAlgae, and Winich Inc. The Expo will also include a dynamite panel, featuring Marcio Aurelio Soares Santos, Sachi Desai, Matthew Hoffman, and Jorge Heraud; their focus will be the state of global agriculture and competitive markets. Yesterday, we had the honor of hosting six incredible Agtech-centric minds on a virtual panel for an audience of startups—including those in our current cohort and some of our alumni. Danny Bernstein, Ben Williamson, Nick Schroer, CFA, Lydia Kinkade, Brandon Day and Paul Burgon provided insight into their takes on the industry and how startups can (and do) stand out to investors. We don't take for granted how lucky we were to get these six on a call together, so we had to capture it on camera! Last week we hosted the first ever ??Topeka Innovation Week??—a chance for startups to learn more about the incentives, resources, and opportunities available to them in our region! Startups—both local and from our current Agtech and Animal Health cohorts—were able to tour the innovation facilities of two of our local universities (K-State Technology Development Institute and KU Innovation Park), engage with subject matter experts specific to their areas of focus, take part in a pitch session with Ed Reggi, and network with local parties passionate about innovation. It was an absolute honor to host the following founders: Tami (Tamara) Radohl Sigley, Nyalia Lui, Joseph Martinez, Sebastian Doyle, Barry McDonogh, Gerardo Bluske, Greg Svanas, Paula Walker, Rafael Serrano, Tracey Wiedmeyer, James Kirk. ??
