At PG&E University Recruiting all interns give a formal presentation of their time spent over summer accomplishing projects tied to Pacific Gas and Electric Company True North Strategy. This strategy is aligned to PG&E stands that everyone and everything is always safe, catastrophic wildfires shall stop, that it's enjoyable to work for and with PG&E and a healthy environment and carbon neutral energy system shall be a reality for all Californians. Last week, interns at Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant presented their efforts this summer to reinforce those stands. I am grateful for the incredible internship experience with Pacific Gas and Electric Company's Information Technology organization, specifically the Enterprise Strategy & Architecture (ESA) team. From collaborating on Generative AI opportunities to crafting an integrated strategy Point of View with SMEs, the journey has been both stimulating and enjoyable. Special thanks to Tom Manriquez, PHR, ACIR, CDR, Jeannie Wong, Penny Howsley, Scott Watanabe, Dana Longmire, Meena Ramanathan, and Eanna Sarah for their unwavering support and guidance. The ESA team's expertise and diverse perspectives, along with interactions with accomplished PG&E colleagues, have been invaluable in my learning journey. Meeting Patti Poppe at the Internship Appreciation Event was a highlight. Her optimism and leadership inspire innovative solutions, tackling challenges, and ensuring California's power system's safety. Thank you, PG&E, for this enriching opportunity to be part of a team that fosters growth and excellence.

As this summer wraps up, I wanted to reflect on my incredible internship as a Transmission & Substation Project Controls Analyst Intern at Pacific Gas and Electric Company. It has been an honor to work for this company, and I am eternally grateful to everyone who taught me. These past ten weeks, I have gotten to serve the T&S Project Controls team in completing internal audits, improving the monthly master excel file, visiting PG&E worksites and training centers, building a spreadsheet to track the goals and calculate bonuses now used by 15 different teams at PG&E, and more. It has been such an honor to contribute to this company! Additionally, I have received my Oracle Primavera 6 certification through PG&E’s training academy. I am so grateful for PG&E’s investment into my learning. Special thanks to my supervisor Shane Baker, PMP for guiding me these past 10 weeks, and my mentor Monica Hitz, MBA, PMP for being such a light during my internship! Also huge thanks to Tom Manriquez, PHR, ACIR, CDR & PG&E University Recruiting for creating such an immersive and engaging overarching experience for all interns!
