Those responsible for residential and commercial properties with adjacent sidewalks are responsible for removing snow and ice after weather events. Failing to clear sidewalks may lead to a fine of $100 per day. Focus areas include sidewalks adjacent to businesses and apt./condo complexes; along roads within 1.5 miles of schools; along State and County roads; slippery sidewalks reported to PGC311; and those abutting major public gathering places, such as churches.
