Over the last two days, we had the pleasure of hosting Karen Lisko, a renowned litigation consultant and persuasive communication advisor, at our London office for bespoke impact training. To achieve our mission of serving founders and investors in building the companies of tomorrow, we enlisted Karen’s expertise to deliver two days of training to the London team, from LBAs to associates to the most senior partners. The team put the training to the test through simulating pressurised client calls, delivering?difficult conversations with colleagues, and executing formal pitches to clients. This is all part of our commitment to empowering and investing in junior talent, creating a pathway for the entire team to become trusted advisors. Craig and Ian played a pivotal role in advising on the ￡300M fundraising round, which is propelling the development of one of the world's largest long-duration energy storage (LDES) facilities in Carrington, Manchester. This project is set to become operational in early 2026, marking a significant milestone in the transition to a more sustainable and secure energy future. The deal was led by a syndicate of investors, the National Wealth Fund and Centrica, with additional backing from a prestigious group of investors, including Rio Tinto, Goldman Sachs, KIRKBI, and Mosaic Capital.
