During this September 2024 US West Coast Trade Mission, Irish Minister for Trade, Enterprise and Employment Peter Burke met with a number of thought leaders and decision makers in the venture capital and private equity community. The group gathered at Ireland House San Francisco to share insights and foster dialogue to ensure that Irish companies have what they need to succeed today and into the future.

As venture capital funds look beyond borders for new transactions, it is crucial that Ireland positions itself to attract venture capital from the most experienced investment firms. Non-Irish Investors now account for a significant proportion of Enterprise Ireland client companies' funding and we are continuing to strengthen relationships between the global investment community and Enterprise Ireland to further support this trend.
Leo Clancy, CEO of Enterprise Ireland, recently announced a new Seed and Ventures Capital Scheme of €250M over 5 years, this will continue Enterprise Ireland's proactive investment strategy as the largest European investor in early stage companies by deal count and a Top 3 global investor.
