America’s Warrior Partnership is sad to learn of the passing of Bernie Marcus - a great friend, patriot, and visionary whose selfless service has improved the quality of life of millions of veterans and their families. He was a 2016 Leo K Thorsness Leadership Award recipient. We join with Bernie’s friends and families in remembering a great man.

Robert brings a wealth of experience to the role, having been active in the North Florida Military Community for almost a decade. ???? As the Past President of the Association of the US Army - Big Ben-Emerald Coast Florida, he has dedicated himself to supporting our nation's heroes. Foster also serves on the boards of several veteran-related nonprofits, including: ?? The Gulf Coast Veterans Advocacy Council as Florida Coordinator of Infrastructure and Resources ?? The Blue Angels Armed Forces and Electronics Association as VP-PR ?? The West Florida Defense Alliance ?? The Santa Rosa-Okaloosa Counties' Military Affairs Committee Additionally, Robert was the Program Director of the Veterans Florida Entrepreneurial Program at the University of West Florida, where he helped countless veterans launch their own businesses. ??? Having served in the USAR from 1965-1971, Robert’s commitment to veterans is unwavering. We are excited to have him as part of the team! ????

?? When challenges arise, having someone to guide you can make all the difference. Air Force veteran Ashley Clark faced a sudden SSDI reduction, leaving her unsure of what to do. Thankfully, Panhandle Warrior Partnership (PWP) stepped in to help. ?? Ever wondered what $10 could do? Donate now: https://lnkd.in/eW76V3Rk PWP Case Coordinator Melissa Rust immediately stepped in, offering both practical advice and a calming presence during a moment of distress. Melissa advised Ashley to contact the Social Security Administration to determine the cause of the decrease. Though upset, Ashley followed the advice and soon learned that the change was due to her Medicare no longer being covered by SSDI, which meant she would need to pay for this service out of pocket. Grateful for Melissa’s guidance and support, Ashley expressed her thanks and sought further assistance on end-of-life decisions and Medicare options. Melissa responded by providing Ashley with detailed information on VA options and connected her with a local Medicare Specialist who could offer personalized advice. PWP will continue to keep a line of contact with Ashley and provide her with guidance and resources as obstacles in her life arise.
