WEBINAR: Performing calculations related to ethanol is a common practice for forensic toxicologists, however, there can be significant variability in how this work is conducted. Academy Standards Board (ASB)'s Best Practice Recommendation 122, on the OSAC Registry, was developed to improve the quality and consistency of this service. On April 29, learn more about the recommendations in ANSI/ASB 122 and how to apply them to real-world cases.?https://lnkd.in/eRSVqi4z?#ForensicOSAC #ForensicToxicology #Standards?

Strengthening the nation's use of forensic science through improved standards.
关于我们
Administered by NIST, OSAC is a collective body of more than 800+ forensic science practitioners and other experts representing all levels of the government, academia, and industry. Together, these members have expertise in a broad array of forensic science disciplines as well as scientific research, measurement science, statistics, law, and policy. OSAC is working to strengthen forensic practice through improved standards. To do this we: facilitate the development of technically sound, science-based standards through a formal standard developing organization (SDO) process; evaluate existing standards published by SDOs for placement on the OSAC Registry; promote the use of the OSAC Registry approved standards throughout the forensic science community; and establish and maintain working relationships with other similar organizations.
