Never Search Alone ?? We’re inspired by this important message from Shula Jaron. In the fast-paced and collaborative world of bioscience, finding the right resources, connections, or opportunities is rarely a solo effort. At Oregon Bio Women, we’re proud to foster a network of talented, driven women who know the value of lifting each other up and working together. Whether you’re building your career, growing your business, or innovating solutions, remember—collaboration is key. #OBWInAction #WomenInSTEM #NeverSearchAlone #BioscienceInnovation

Never Search Alone: A Game-Changer for My Job Search When I first read Never Search Alone, I was intrigued by the idea that job searching shouldn’t be a solo effort. After exploring the free tools at phyl.org, I knew I had to try this structured, collaborative approach. What stood out immediately was that phyl.org doesn’t just provide guidance—they actually connect you with a Job Search Council, for FREE. I chose to be a moderator to get matched quickly, and within a day, I was part of a council. Now, more than halfway through the process, I can say it’s been incredibly valuable: ?? Refining My Candidate Market Fit (CMF) – Through structured conversations in my listening tour, I’ve gained clarity on my strengths and the roles that truly fit me. ?? A Strong, Supportive Network – I’ve been paired with amazing, thoughtful people—strangers who have quickly become an essential part of my job search. ?? Confidence in the Process – I don’t have a job yet, but I’m certain this approach is helping me target better opportunities than I would have found on my own. For anyone in a job search, I highly recommend checking out Never Search Alone and phyl.org. This process makes job searching more effective, less isolating, and much more strategic. If you’re curious, I’d be happy to share more! #NeverSearchAlone #JobSearch #CandidateMarketFit #CareerGrowth

Props to Angela Bitting! ?? Your testimony in support of HB 2411 shows just how critical women’s voices are in shaping Oregon’s future. Thank you for advocating for industrial land that supports all industries, including bioscience. #OBWInAction #WomenInLeadership #EconomicDevelopment
Advocating for Industrial Land: Oregon Bio at Work Thank you to our board member, Angela Bitting (Twist Bioscience) for her compelling testimony this week in support of HB 2411 before the House Committee on Economic Development, Small Business, and Trade. Angela made a strong case for why Oregon must ensure industrial land is available for all advanced industries—not just semiconductors—so that bioscience, cleantech, and other key sectors can continue to grow and create high-wage jobs. We also appreciate our partners who helped shape the conversation: ? Colin Sears from Business Oregon for providing an overview of the proposed program ? Andrew Desmond from Oregon Business Council (OBC) for his strong testimony in support of this effort This legislation is a critical step in ensuring that innovative companies have the space they need to expand and succeed in Oregon. Thank you to chair Daniel L. Nguyen and the committee members for their leadership in this important discussion. Let’s keep the momentum going—join us in advocating for policies that support Oregon’s life sciences ecosystem! #EconomicDevelopment #Bioscience #OregonInnovation #IndustrialLands
