CHIME Opioid Action Center talked about how #IT has addressed the opioid epidemic at #CHIME24. I've mentioned it before...this is a clear example of how IT and information delivery saves lives...and how the lack of information costs lives. Proud to have helped with the effort over the past few years.

Great news! ???? Nationally, opioid overdose deaths decreased by 18% since June 2023! "We are encouraged by this data, but boy, it is time to double down on the things that we know are working. It is not a time to pull back, and I feel very strongly, and our data shows, that the threat continues to evolve," says Dr. Allison Arwady, head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's National Center for Injury Prevention and Control. Key Measures: - Broaden availability of Naloxone aka Narcan - Increase access to medications that can treat opioid use disorder While this progress is encouraging, our continued efforts are essential to tackle the evolving threat. Let's keep pushing forward! Learn more: https://loom.ly/Xgdja9k #OpioidCrisis #Healthcare #PublicHealth #AddictionTreatment #HarmReduction
