Grant professionals use the power of stories to communicate in grant proposals and grant reports. It is essential to be ethical in how they share these stories. GPA Ethics Committee Chair, Kate Huebner, shares insights on this in this post on the Grant Professionals Association blog: https://lnkd.in/gXfz4yQd #grants #storytelling #ethics

In this week's blog post, Amanda Day, GPC, reflects on a few funder challenges she wishes could be solved with a magic wand. Have you come across the new Form 990 yet? Figured out how to track down the missing info? If you've found a clever workaround, I'm all ears—let's share solutions! https://buff.ly/4cHAEQ1 #Funders #GrantPros #GrantProfessionals

Mentors Needed for our Mentoring Program! GPA is currently matching up mentees and mentors and we are in need of more mentors! As a mentor, you will gain the opportunity to expand your leadership skills, share your experiences and insights, and learn from the experiences of your mentees. Studies have shown that mentoring is one of the most valuable and effective professional development opportunities. Having the guidance and encouragement of a mentor can shape your career for years to come. The goal is to cultivate career development and communication between members with areas of expertise and members who want to build their knowledge within those areas. GPA's Mentoring Program was developed to help foster the growth of our members through two-way learning. Mentees have direct access to experienced grant professionals from across the world and from varying backgrounds to support achievement, success, learning, and growth. Additionally, this relationship also benefits the participating mentors by providing opportunities to expand their skills and earn points towards your GPC CMP renewal. https://lnkd.in/eQZD4Faq

Self-care is easily something that gets pushed back with as many deadlines as the grant world has. We need to remember that self-care is a priority for our own health, peace of mind, and longevity.
You are worthy! Remember the importance of self-care as Patrice Shumate shares in this post on the Grant Professionals Association blog: https://lnkd.in/g79b2WeX #justbreath #wellness #selfcare
