More than half of the world's 25 most climate-vulnerable countries are affected by fragility or conflict - yet they receive far less #climatefinance than more stable places. ? In our new article, 'Small Change', I analysed data from Annex II countries, MDBs, UNFCCC funds and other multilateral organisations to put together new projections for climate finance flows to fragile and conflict-affected countries by 2030. The findings paint a grim picture: ? In 2022, fragile and conflict-affected countries received only 1/4 of the climate finance they need. ? This is most likely an underestimate - as not all countries analysed have submitted costed needs. ? Even our most ambitious projections suggest that by 2030, the needs of fragile and conflict-affected countries will still be 110% higher than the finance provided. ?
