Last night’s self-defense class was on point ?? Allen’s lecture was crystal clear: Do whatever it takes to protect yourself, you only have one life! As he delivered the second round of his intense and impactful training, he continued to emphasize an essential key message: Your mind is your greatest weapon. Developing awareness and assertiveness is vital in any life threatening situation. Recognizing potential threats, using your full intuition and understanding your own abilities can be the crucial factor in transforming a life-altering moment that can occur in an instant. While he generously demonstrated several tips and tricks to help us effectively defend ourselves, he was adamant in educating us about the power and control issue’s that criminals forcefully use to manipulate others while giving us tremendous insight on what to look for and how to handle it if a situation should ever arrise. A heartfelt thank you to our instructor, Allen Rushing and to Locklear Roofing NC for hosting and sponsoring this event! Remember, mindset is paramount.
