Sourcing grapes from top California vineyards, including Santa Barbara and San Diego County, the J. Brix tasting room is now open in the heart of North City, featuring a wide range of wines available by the glass, carafe, or bottle. Stop by to try unique varieties on tap, from Skin-Contact Pinot Gris to Carbonic Merlot and treat yourself to a wine flight, enjoy your wine onsite for a $15 corkage fee, or take a bottle to go! Non-alcoholic options are also available, including Prosecco-style sparkling wine and cold brew coffee from Carlsbad’s own Steady State Coffee. Guests are invited to bring in food from any North City neighbors, or enjoy a curated selection of wine-friendly snacks. Plus, keep an eye out for regular art and wine workshops where creativity meets community

North City is set to host the third free outdoor movie night of the season on Friday, October 25, featuring Disney’s Coco! The fun begin at 5 PM with games, family activities, and movie character meet-and-greets, followed by the movie screening at 6:30 PM. The event will feature a Mariachi Band, Dia de los Muertos decor with an ofrenda, a festive straw bale and pumpkin display, and special appearances by Coco’s beloved characters, Miguel and Héctor. Enjoy complimentary popcorn and an array of bites available for purchase from North City’s eateries. For the adults, beer, wine, and cocktails to enjoy in the movie event area will be available for purchase from Draft Republic. And newly opened J Brix Wines will be open for guests to enjoy select wines on their patio. We'll see you there!

A few weeks ago, North City celebrated the unveiling of a stunning new mural by noted artist, Victoria Fu. The San Diego Business Journal got the inside scoop on the artwork and insights on why Sea Breeze Properties values the integration of art into everyday life and engaging the community in a new and meaningful way. Visitors are encouraged to view Victoria’s mural and explore other works by local artists, offering a glimpse of a broader public art initiative coming soon to North City.

Join us at North City as we unveil Ginkgo, a significant new mural by internationally renowned and San Diego-based artist Victoria Fu. Known for her work at the Whitney Museum, Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), and the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego (MCASD), Fu’s latest project at North City brings museum-quality art into the neighborhood. As a professor at the University of San Diego, Fu’s deep connection to the region makes this mural a meaningful addition to North City’s public art program and North County’s growing cultural landscape. Save the date! The inaugural San Marcos Harvest Fest at North City is set for Sunday, October 13, 2024 all along North City Drive from 9AM to 5PM. Indulge in a day filled with delicious flavors and entertainment including delicious street food, award-winning ice cream, and cozy family dining options. Live music, dancers, and street performers will take over four stages, creating a full sensory experience. Families can explore the Little Shepherd Nature Lab's ROVER, a bright orange and yellow bus offering educational fun like a composting station, mini greenhouse, live worm bin, and nature crafts, along with face painting, bunnies, and more. Guests can pair their meals with local beer or wine while enjoying the sights, sounds, and incredible food throughout the event. Don't miss the celebration that will mark the official start to the fall season in San Marcos.

North City is hosting a bimonthly floral pop-up shop with Native Poppy, starting on Thursday, August 8 at 5pm and continuing through October. To celebrate this exciting collaboration, the first 65 attendees on August 8 will receive a complimentary bouquet from San Diego’s favorite florist. Shop from Native Poppy’s stunning selection of seasonal flowers, along with a curated mix of gifts and accessories available for purchase.?After exploring the pop-up, stop by one of North City’s popular eateries including Draft Republic, Buona Forchetta, Milonga Empanadas, Umami Japanese, Wynston’s Ice Cream, and Maya’s Cookies for dinner or dessert.
