The North America Committee of the Campaign for Greener Arbitrations: The Green Pledge (CGA-NA) and the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University (Haub Law) are pleased to announce a writing competition for anyone interested in the intersection of arbitration and environmental law. The paper that will be chosen for this award should make a substantial contribution to legal literature and reflect original research and/or major developments in previously reported research. The winning submission will be awarded $5,000. The deadline for submissions is August 30, 2025. The North America Committee - CGA is thrilled to announced that two committee projects have been shortlisted by Global Arbitration Review for the Campaign for Greener Arbitrations: The Green Pledge ?????????? ?????? ?????????????????????? ??????????????????, which will be presented at the ???????? ?????? ???????????? on April 10, 2025, during Paris Arbitration Week. The two nominations shortlisted for the award include: ? The American Arbitration Association/International Centre for Dispute Resolution? (ICDR) and the North America Committee - CGA jointly organized in 2024 a series of green arbitration roundtables with hundreds of arbitrators all over North America to promote efficiency and greener practices in arbitration by explaining the CGA guidelines and suggested protocols for green arbitrations and creative ways to use technology. ? The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University and North America Committee - CGA launched a writing competition to encourage and recognize legal scholarship related to reducing the environmental impact of international arbitration and promoting more sustainable arbitration practices. The competition is already supported by more than 19 arbitral institutions and organizations from the US, Canada and beyond. The deadline to vote is Friday, February 14.
