关于我们
New Jersey Innovation Institute's Defense Division is mobilized to identify, build, and implement innovative solutions that identify and operationalize advances in technology and workforce. The US Army DEVCOM Armaments Center (DEVCOM AC) and New Jersey Innovation Institute (NJII), a subsidiary of the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), have developed a Strategic Public-Private Partnership (PPP) between DOD, Industry, & Academia to address these technology and workforce gaps. Building off DEVCOM AC and NJIT’s 10 plus year strategic partnership the team has established the Collaborative Operationalized Manufacturing Engineering & Training (COMET) Initiative. COMET provides an environment where DoD Scientists and Engineers, Universities & Colleges, and Industry (especially small businesses and non-traditional contractors,) can co-locate to design, develop, and collaborate on technologies and products that assist the DOD in its strategic missions. NJII Defense Division works to support program objectives by providing design and manufacturing capabilities, along with workforce development in order to revitalize the Defense Industrial Base (DIB).
