The LEAD Program is a professional development program with the Newport Hotel Group. There is a LEAD Manager in Training Program and a LEAD Internship Program. The LEAD Manager in Training Program is a rotational training plan intended to provide an overall introduction to the operations of our hotels and to the core basics and values of the Newport Hotel Group, moving into the implementation of our Standard Operations Procedures (SOPs) and concluding with the assimilation and management of such values and SOPs. LEADs must be fully flexible and willing to travel to any and all Newport Hotel Group hotel locations. The LEAD Manager in Training Program is one year long and upon successful completion, LEADs are offered a supervisory or management position with Newport Hotel Group. The LEAD Internship Program is a rotational training plan intended to provide an overall introduction to the operations of the hotel and to the core basics and values of the Newport Hotel Group. During the LEAD Internship Program, the intern will also receive an introduction and exposure to all departments within the hotel(s) they are working at, including the Front Desk, Housekeeping, and Food and Beverage.
