关于我们
TAF’s Network for?EdWork (NWEW)?develops collaborative partnerships with and among districts, schools, higher education, nonprofits, and government to close gaps in recruitment, encourage retention, develop internal and external competencies, and foster the promotion of BIPOC educators and education leaders in order to make these groups representative of their student populations. Supporting and connecting BIPOC educators and leaders is essential to creating education spaces where students of color thrive.

Amrita Kauldher and Tiffanie Rivera-Di Lucio had the opportunity to facilitate an affinity space for Black girls at Hunt Middle School in Tacoma, WA. During the 40-minute session, the girls did a poster activity and discussed how interrupting racism requires both resistance and rest. The affinity space was hosted by Elizabeth Brobbey, one of Network for EdWork past Affinity Salon participants (in partnership with Association of Washington School Principals). As Elizabeth's first time being part of a racial affinity space, her experience compelled her to host one for her students. We are so excited to see Elizabeth making an impact at her school and also modelling for her students how racial equity work is done in community.
