Damaging winds, intense storms, and heavy rainfall are set to hit parts of southeast Queensland and northern NSW later today. The Bureau of Meteorology forecasts that Tropical Cyclone Alfred will make landfall later on Friday, most likely between Maroochydore and Coolangatta.
