?? Celebrating Women's History Month: Meet London ?? As we celebrate Women’s History Month, we’re proud to shine a spotlight on London Tessener, London is an affordable housing attorney who represents municipal lenders as well as nonprofit and for-profit developers on low-income housing tax credit projects. She handles commercial real estate transactions and homeowner rehabilitation loans from municipalities. Through her position on the Board of the North Carolina Women’s Affordable Housing Network, London has organized volunteer and fundraising events for the Women’s Center. London enjoys life with her husband Nicholas, and her two dogs Peach and Sloppy Joe. London states “I am motivated to be a part of the Women’s Center team because the Women’s Center is the only day shelter for single women experiencing homelessness in Wake County. They provide meals, clothing, and resources to women in need and I want to support them in their effort to fill the gap in our community services. In two months, we'll be packing our bags for Summit 2025 in Denver! How about you? We surveyed last year's attendees about their experience, and here's what they said: ?? 96% believed the conference was a worthwhile investment for professional development ?? 96% are likely to join us in Denver for Summit 2025 ?? 8/9 speakers' quality and content were rated EXCELLENT ?? 10/10 Sunday's property tours, resident visits, wellness and evening events were rated EXCELLENT We also listened to attendee feedback on how we can improve and then surveyed all of you specifically for topics & speakers you wanted to see at Summit 2025. Based on all of your responses, we have built an even better Summit. Our final speaker and topic lineup is almost ready to share, but many industry leaders have already committed. We also have: ?? Optional training sessions on Housing Choice Vouchers, HOTMA, and LIHTC 101, ?? Optional wellness events (walking, running, pilates, Yoga at Red Rocks) and fun events (Sweet Connections and WAHN Prom), ?? Optional Property Tours and resident support activities, ??
