?? Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. ?? Today, NAVFAC Atlantic joins the Nation and the Department of Defense in celebrating Martin Luther King, Jr. Day—a time to honor the life, achievements, and enduring legacy of a leader whose vision and courage changed history.? This year marks the 60th anniversary of the Selma to Montgomery march campaign, where Dr. King and the Southern Christian Leadership Council (SCLC) led a powerful movement against voter suppression and injustice. These marches, including the infamous confrontation at the Edmund Pettus Bridge, inspiring legislative changes like the Voting Rights Act of 1965.? Dr. King’s famous words, “The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice,” resonate deeply with NAVFAC’s mission to serve with integrity, unity, and commitment. His legacy challenges us to work diligently toward building environments where every voice is heard and valued. At NAVFAC we carry forward this legacy by fostering an environment of innovation that strengthens our mission where our people remain our greatest asset. Together, we can create a future that reflects Dr. King’s dream—one of freedom, and opportunity for all. On this “Day On, Not a Day Off,” we encourage everyone to serve their communities and contribute to meaningful change. Let’s honor Dr. King by continuing to build a better, more just world for future generations. #MLKDay #DayOnNotDayOff #NAVFACAtlantic #LeadershipThroughService
