On September 4, 2024, Ethan Astor was awarded the Department of the Navy (DON) Meritorious Civilian Service Award for his contributions to the DON for service as the Director, Investigations Division, Office of the Inspector General of the Marine Corps (IGMC) from December 9, 2018 to August 31, 2024. Mr. Astor serves as the senior staff advisor to the IGMC on all matters related to the Marine Corps Senior Official Investigations and Military Whistleblower Reprisal. #Congratulations

It’s #WorldClassWednesday! Today we spotlight Sergeant Matthew T. Snodgrass Sergeant Snodgrass is commended for handling 80 Investigative Support Cases and and effectively managing 130 Taskers via ETMS2 over the last quarter. He is responsible for reconciling IGMC financials across various platforms, totaling over $7,500 this quarter, and playing a crucial role in enhancing IGMC record keeping, GTCCP, and DTS readiness. Furthermore, Snodgrass ensured timely onboarding and departing employee procedures for six IGMC personnel. He also assisted with the Administrative and Resource Management Security Programs and Information Management (ARS) security assessment of IGMC spaces, resulting in a commendatory effectiveness rating. Sgt Snodgrass’ commendatory hard work and accomplishments are worthy of emulation and recognition!

It’s #TravelThursday! Today we spotlight the accomplishments of Sergeant Xavier Alexander Limon. Sergeant Limon reviewed and assisted in processing over 350 DTS travel documents over the last quarter, ensuring they met accurate requirements and regulatory compliance for eight inspections supporting the Marine Corps Inspector General Program. He also supported IGMC investigators by researching, analyzing, and processing 36 investigative case support requests using multiple manpower information systems and assisted in administering military personnel awards, letters of appreciation, and IGMC ACE awards for IG community members. As an Information Systems Coordinator, Sergeant Limon also provided local Tier 0 support and coordinated with the Marine Corps Enterprise Service Desk and Tier II technicians by submitting 140 trouble tickets, including MCEN-N logical moves, NIPR/SIPR computer and networking issues, and government phone setup to support the IGMC staff's functionality for their mission requirements. Additionally, he assisted with the Consolidated Memorandum Receipt to ensure full asset accountability, maintained website functionality, redesigned the Enterprise Database, and kept the Inspector General connections page current. Sergeant Limon’s commendatory hard work and accomplishments are worthy of emulation and recognition!
