At yesterday's NPPC Annual All-Member meeting we were honored and grateful to hear from former CMS Administrator Thomas Scully! Tom generously shared his expert perspective on the role of food in healthcare while highlighting opportunities and challenges that the entire system is facing as we roll into 2025. Hint - there are *many* Thank you to Tom and to Lauren Driscoll, CEO at NourishedRx for presenting the key questions for Food is Medicine and Food as Health on behalf of NPPC member orgs.

"Activity and redemption can each be high in PRx, and may be positively associated with more shopping locations, longer participation and program implementation experience, and specific participant demographic factors. These findings inform interpretation of prior and design of future research on PRx, health outcomes, and health care utilization."

It's Election Day ???? and in January we'll see a new slate of policymakers take important leadership roles. However there is still important work to do in the remaining days of the 118th Congress. During these final weeks Members have a significant opportunity to improve health, curb spending, and improve patient's engagement with their care by advancing and operationalizing the Food Is Medicine (FIM) model in standard clinical practice. Last week we joined with national partners to highlight these opportunities to advance #FIM at #HHS, #NIH, #ARPAH, #IHS, and the #VHA and appeal for Congressional leadership to support their inclusion in the final budget.
