BE MSP Professional Associations Forum

The BE MSP Professional Associations Forum helps to connect leaders from Greater Minneapolis-Saint Paul's professional associations by and for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color. (BIPOC) This is a closed group, dedicated to the premier leaders of BIPOC professional associations and affinity groups in the Twin Cities. We encourage you to invite other officers and emerging leaders within your organizations to join the conversation. PURPOSE Minneapolis-Saint Paul (MSP)is home to hundreds of professional associations and affinity groups - from long-established national associations with local chapters to newly formed and emerging groups local and unique to MSP. These groups have proven to be central assets helping to bridge the workplace and community for professionals of color new to the region. In 2019, BE MSP set out to learn more about the shared challenges, opportunities, and questions professional associations and affinity groups face as they seek to grow and maintain membership opportunities. Building on findings from the 2019 focus groups and interviews, the BE MSP team coordinated additional learning sessions with both professional association leaders and their stakeholders to identify best practices and build resources that support key areas of their success. Use this platform to share resources, ask questions, and connect with your peers.
