2 years ago, I had a coffee mug shipped to an address in Czechia. The recipient was a long-time Moore's Lobby listener and had requested a mug during one of our promotions. At #electronicafair, that listener walked by my booth and stopped for a chat. Petr Dvo?ák, it was amazing to meet you. What a way to wrap up the show! PS, the original person you emailed was Marketing Director Terra Gledhill - she was thrilled to hear we met in person and was sorry not to have been at the minibooth with me!
Believe it or not, this miracle happened. About two years ago, when I listened to my favourite podcast show, Moore's Lobby, while running, I was hit by a piece of an announcement advising me to send a message to the production team and ask for a coffee mug. So I did. It turned out that sending a single coffee mug to Europe from the US was not a reasonable idea, and the lady who emailed me the response explained that the announcement was valid for US listeners. But she promised to do her best. So she did. After about a week or two, I received a box with the Moore's Lobby coffee mug and a confirmation email from the lady from the show's production team. The letter said my mug was manufactured in the EU, meaning it was the only Moore's Lobby here. I happily confirmed the receipt of the gift and was happy. Time flew by, two years leap... I am on the grounds of the Munich Messe at the #electronica trade fair. During my two-day stay, I met a few mini booths of EETech Group, and I declined the chance to win some money at least once. It's the last day of the show, about 11:30 a.m. I met the last EETech Group mini booth for the third time. After a few tens of seconds, I sent my message, "I am a fan of the Moore's Lobby show and about two years ago, I asked for a mug and despite the fact the merch was designed for the US listeners only, I received it. Say thank you to the show authors.". ?? "Hey, that was me", said Melody Hitchner. It blew my mind. Imagine the probability a guy from the Czech Republic goes to Germany where he meets a lady from Idaho who sent him a mug two years ago. Yes, the trade fair shows connect people from the same industry area, but still. To me, it's a miracle. Thank you ?? ?? If you like my work and would like to transform your ideas into an actual product, ???????? ???????? ???? ???????? ???? ?? ?????????????? here on LinkedIn or ???? ??-???????? to the address in the profile.?? #showyourwork #hwidvorakinfo #whoisjohngalt #thatkicadguy
