A few weeks ago, Valencia (Spain), birthplace of paella, experienced devastating flash floods. A sudden surge of rainstorms hit the region with intense force, taking the life of over two hundred people and destroying hundreds of homes and businesses. We are pleased to co-sponsor this event organized by?Spain@MIT, MIT's Spanish student organization,?to raise funds for the victims of this tragedy. ??? November 26th, 6:00-9:00PM ?? Morss Hall ?? Congratulations to the 2025 Rhode Scholars! A big shoutout to the two MISTI alums who have done both Global Teaching Labs and internship programs—Yiming Chen '24 and Wilhem Hector '25. Also, not forgetting Anushka Nair '25, who will be doing her MISTI Global Teaching Labs in Scotland this IAP 2025! ?? "Living and working in Denmark has not only allowed me to grow as the wind energy expert I am learning to be. It has also increased my awareness about the importance of a good work-life balance and urged me to place collaboration at the heart of all my future professional projects," Wilhem shares about his internship during the summer of 2022 at the Wind Research Center and the Technical University of Denmark (DTU Wind). Last week, Alicia Goldstein Raun, Managing Director of MIT-Spain, traveled to Madrid and Barcelona to reinforce our international partnerships and visit our student interns.
