What an amazing Michigan World Trade Week it has been! ?? ?? ?? We kicked off the week with an insightful?The Economic Club of Grand Rapids?luncheon with a keynote from The Economist. On Tuesday, we welcomed?U.S. Department of Commerce's?Jim Golsen to Grand Rapids to tour a local business,?SoundOff Signal with our local U.S. Commercial Service office. Wednesday’s 38th Michigan World Trade Week Business conference featured another local Michigan business, Cherry Central's Melanie LaPerriere. Jim Golsen presented Export Awards to two distinguished Michigan Exporters, Duperon Corporation and Humphrey Products. Thursday brought us a thoughtful conversation from the Dutch Ambassador at the World Affairs Council of Western Michigan luncheon, as well as, the Small Business Resource Fair hosted by the Michigan SBDC. We are ending this week of global celebration by sharing our love of global business with local students for Student Global Awareness Day!
