It is a lot of fun creating #viralcontent and videos and using my #robotdog as an outreach tool for #manufacturing and #futureworkforce! Getting both adults and kids alike excited about #robotics is what I love to do. So when I had the opportunity to turn Clark - The Mascot of Manufacturing into a #BeerRobot with the help of Jiga I couldn't say no! Jiga connects companies with #manufacturers to help them source the parts they need to complete the job from #CNC, #lasercutting, #waterjet, #3dprinting, #injectionmolding and more. Instead of just printing a beer holder for my robot we CNCed and laser cut the components to have some customizable logos to be a part of the design for upcoming shows! This generation will have the torch passed on them to keep #production and #manufacturing here is the U.S. Reaching this youth at a young age is critical to inspire them and get them excited about the technology, education and job opportunities that are available. This happened yesterday at Lackawanna College where 30+ highschool students got hear from industry professionals and program and drive robots in classrooms.
