Maryland Gov. Wes Moore took a few minutes to talk about his experience touring the almost completed Meritus School of Osteopathic Medicine, which will be open for students in 2025. We were honored to host Maryland Gov. Wes Moore on Friday for a tour of the Meritus Crisis Center, Mental Health Walk-in and the Meritus School of Osteopathic Medicine (MSOM). The governor was able to learn about the care and treatment available on our Robinwood campus, as well as the exciting plans in the works to train physicians to practice in rural communities, like Hagerstown. Last week, our DO faculty and Family Medicine residents participated in the Maryland Association of Osteopathic Physicians (MAOP) Pre-Conference OMT Workshop. Led by Dr. Catherine Feaga, this hands-on training sharpened their osteopathic skills and addressed a variety of medical conditions affecting the whole body. This event highlights the strong collaboration between our residency programs and the health system, ensuring growth from medical school through to clinical practice. #OsteopathicMedicine #GME #OMT #MAOP2024
