Another exciting media spotlight on Memphis's emerging role as an epicenter for Data + AI innovation in education & workforce development! Thank you Shay Simon from WREG News Channel 3 for highlighting how GTW Academy of Innovation middle school students are revolutionizing workforce development through Data + AI. These students developed an AI assistant for the Greater Memphis Chamber through a design thinking process - conducting stakeholder interviews, researching website content, developing flowcharts, and transforming that knowledge into a functional AI assistants that's live on the Chamber's website. Even more exciting - these students are ready to start diving into Tableau, and learn to clean, analyze, and visualize the data outputs from their AI assistants. They're developing real-world data science skills that typically aren't introduced until college! Through our partnership with Stemi Education and Infobip, Greater Memphis Chamber, Memphis-Shelby County Schools is pioneering early workforce development in tech. As student Kortney Anthony shares: "I feel proud of myself, because I know I got to be a part of something great." Memphis is becoming the model for how K-12 schools across the US can prepare students for the Data + AI economy.
