Post in the comments what you think are the negatives of fouled evaporators and what can be done to prevent it from occurring. -Here’s just a few of my negatives: Poor heat exchange Poor performance Higher costs Lower efficiency Low evaporator pressure and temperature faults Oil return issues -What can be done to prevent this? Couple good points: On a closed loop system, maintaining a good water treatment program is by far the most important. Opening a closed loop should be avoided as much as is possible. This requires make up water to replenish the lost water that has already been treated. This introduces untreated, oxygenated water, and can allow for corrosion and organisms to grow. #mechanicalpros #mechanicalresourcegroup #chillertechs
