??Panelist Spotlight ?? Meet Dr. Marouane Salhi! Dr. Salhi is the CEO & Co-founder of Qubit Engineering Inc., where he and his team are working to develop advanced optimization solutions for the energy sector. His primary focus is on power grid management optimization, collaborating with Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) and the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA)?to explore ways to improve grid efficiency and resilience. In addition to his work on grid optimization, Qubit Engineering has developed an optimization solution for the wind industry, helping improve wind farm operations through advanced computational techniques. Dr. Salhi's research is centered on designing innovative quantum optimization algorithms?for renewable energy applications, with an emphasis on grid management and wind energy. He holds a Ph.D. in computational and theoretical physics?from the University of Tennessee and has experience in high-performance computing and optimization, including a postdoctoral research fellowship with the Intelligence Community at ORNL. As a participant in cohort 7 of the DOE-funded Innovation Crossroads?program at ORNL, Dr. Salhi is working alongside industry and research partners to advance optimization technologies that can contribute to a more efficient and sustainable energy future.
