To begin to help address an issue as big globally as pet homelessness, you first need to understand it.? ? Reflecting on the past year, we are proud that in 2024 we took a big step forward by launching the State of Pet Homelessness Project - the largest-ever study into pet homelessness. The results were both eye-opening and heartbreaking: our data from across 20 markets showed that 1 in 3 pets are homeless. The report highlighted the scale of the issue and showed us that real, lasting change requires all of us working together to address three key challenges: preventing unwanted pets, ensuring sustained care, and keeping pets in homes.?? ? Looking forward to the new year, we’ll continue to collaborate to turn these insights into action - through impactful partnerships, supporting community initiatives, and advocating for pet friendly policies. Businesses, policymakers, NGOs, and local communities all have a role to play, to help improve the lives or pets everywhere.?Together, we can make a real difference for pets and the people who care for them. ??
