When I came back 9 days ago, my post impressions were below 30,000 but today, it has passed quarter a million! I took a break for 8 days to grieve and re-align my life. It was tough and still is and I'm getting through it. One thing about me is that I own my truth. You can never use my story against me because my story is my Power and no one can take it away from me. Yesterday evening, I was tested and my buttons were pushed. Later on, I realized that me owning up is what is giving him sleepless nights that he had to show up at my doorstep. Yes, I could have chosen to keep this part of my life private or rather not talk about it however I wouldn't feel like myself. I didn't want to pretend while wearing a mask of who I am not. I would rather speak it up and own it. You see the moment you're embarrassed to tell your truth, you invite insecurities and more criticism as people will now be up in your business. Once I owned my truth, I haven't heard "what people are saying" because I just don't care about that and because I'm not embarrassed. You see, you give ammunition to haters and those who want to bring you down when you don't speak your truth and own your story. They'll see that as a weakness and attack you through words or actions that will be hurtful and eventually bring you down. I have experienced this firsthand and that's why I'm not afraid of my story and my truth. I think I may write a book after this season of my life, I'm spitting wisdom ????. All in all, I'm doing okay. No weapon formed against me shall prosper in Jesus name! Own your story. Own your truth. There's immense power in your story! I didn't want to do this, but I'm very uneasy. He has pushed my buttons and I'm hear to pass a message across. I'm ready for any backlash that may come my way but I'm not willing to be bullied or controlled by a man who's no longer in my life. You disturbed my peace and you need to know your place, and please it's not in my life so please live your life and stay off mine. I'm owning my story, owning my truth and living my life, so do the same. This was never planned. I didn't want to get to this point but here we are. Yesterday at 10:30pm, I was listening to Heart Attack by Trey Songz, and as I scheduled my posts, emotions hit me hard. As I sung the chorus, the words sunk deeply in my thoughts as tears rolled down while staring at my ceiling. It got me reflecting on adulting and how it really doesn’t come with a manual. Some days, you feel on top of the world. Other days, you’re lost, overwhelmed, and barely holding it together. And then there are days where just getting out of bed feels impossible. I’ve recently broken down even while going for a run—completely unable to hold it together. At times, I’ve pushed myself so hard that I’ve been doing 20,000 steps almost daily. (At this rate, I might lose the little weight I have left ??.) Finding joy in the small things has been a challenge. Some days, even smiling feels like work. But in the middle of all the chaos, I thank God for friends who have been my rock. Friends who have checked in, listened, and reminded me that I don’t have to face it all alone. Adulting is tough—it can feel like it’s breaking you. But in those tough seasons, I’ve learned two things: 1?? It’s okay to not be okay. 2?? Leaning on others doesn’t make you weak—it makes you human. If you’re in a tough season, I want to remind you: Take it one step at a time. Breathe. And don’t forget—you’re not alone. Recently, my post on different teachings of emotions impacted a lady who shared with me in the DM that she's also going through a difficult time. It was heart-warming that she found encouragement from my post and my story ??. Some may see this as a post that isn't tied to my expertise but it actually does. You see personal branding also means sharing your story and showing your human side. Whether you're vulnerable or not, when you share your journey, you create deeper connections. This is also a form of therapy for me as I'm passionate about writing. Then suddenly as I lay in my couch, I felt nostalgic and decided to remind myself of where I've come from. I was going through my album and bumped into the photo on the left. ?? I had just arrived from school and was at my mum's shop with my sister. My sister took this photo as we closed our Animal Feeds' shop for the day. Throwback photo remembering where I've come from, and that I still had my swag, right? ???? I look younger than I used to ??. So its true money gives you a makeover and a glow up.?? This reminded me of the meme that says, "I wish I met you earlier." So thats me earlier... ??
